Cristiano Ronaldo is set to sign a new Real Madrid contract in the coming weeks that will see him always eclipse the earnings of Gareth Bale.

Ronaldo, who has two years left on his current deal, has been locked in talks with Madrid for months over an extension.

But the Portuguese superstar is close to accepting a new four-year-contract, which includes a clause that he must always earn more than new signing Bale.
