I saw commencement of second semester in the approved 2023 calendar slated for 26th June to around November. And I was told in my study center that I should come for matric no by June ending.Does that mean I will have to wait for this second semester to end before I start my own program?
NOUN operates in such a way that they run both semesters simultaneously. So, it means in every semester, u can start your programme. While u will be in you first semester, some persons will be in their second semester. Prepare to begin by this June.
Cheers.

Enskynelson:

New Semester Registration begins June 26th
Application fee is 7500
G&C is for a minimum of 4 semesters
NOUN runs a minimum of 2 semesters in a year.
All exams are POP (Pen on paper) except for GST807 which is an e-exam (fill in the gap and OBJ).
Continuous Assessment in NOUN is known as TMA. It's taken online and it's 30 percent.
Exams are 70 percent.
You need evidence of application for transcripts to get matriculation number before you can register.
Helpful links are:
nou.edu.ng
nou.edu.ng/e-courseware
admissions.nouonline.net
nounaid.com
noudocs.com
No classes. We have only facilitation and it's not compulsory u attend.
All course materials are available. You study then and come sit for your exams.
Yea, there are students forum but unofficial ones.
You cannot move faster than the semesters. But u can choose to pause your programme and continue anytime you are ready. You can also register as few courses as work of circumstances permits. That is the "study at your pace."
I hope this helps.

THANKS A LOT FOR THIS... I AM GRATEFUL

Please, do you have an idea of the fees for it? Also, does the fee have to be paid once?

Thanks again

Registration is every semester and not every session.
You are required to pay all your fees before registration closes. You may not pay all at once. Registration are in 3 phases:
1. Semester registration
2. Course Registration
3. Exams Registration
Each have their fees. Without 1 and u cannot do 2 and without 2 u cannot do 3.
Without 2, you cannot get hard copy of materials from your Study Centre. Without 3, you cannot take your continuous Assessment known as TMA and u cannot take exams.

Check nounaid.com for idea of fees as it varies from programme to programme.
Cheers.

Corporate organization around the world have been increasingly migrating to digital learning to improve employees performance and drives business performance. But more needs to be done to realize the full potential of online learning.

Here are some are (budget-friendly) online learning solutions.
1. Convert existing ILT material into e-learning.
2. Refurbish legacy course for new age learners.
3. Use rapid authoring tools for cost effective translations.

1.Convert existing ILT materials into digital learning - using your already existing material that is available as part of your classroom/instructor-led training. Any manual, classroom recordings, paper-based assessments, PowerPoint presentations are all good source materials for the E- Learning courses. Online courses can be made understandable and engaging even in the absence of an instructor by applying good instructional design strategy and principle appropriate for the content, engagement and interactivities can also be applied.
Refurbish legacy courses for new age learners 2.Organizations have a lot of old courses (with still relevant content) developed with Adobe Flash and other software tools that are now o solate. Such legacy courses can be repurposed to accommodate the modern day learning needs. Here are some of the reasons why these courses need to be refurbished.
I) cutting down development cost.
II) flashbased Courses are not mobile-compactible and therefore not appreciated by the modern learn who want to learn on the go with their device.
III) some old courses might be low on learner engagement and text heavy.
3. Use rapid authoring for cost-effective translations - when a global organization decides to shift to e-learning, they naturally want to offer consistent training to learner regardless of where they are located or what language they speak. Translation classroom based training materials and disseminating globally is a complicated process that involves a lot of time and money. The new rapid authoring tools and technologies, makes it much easier to meet the demands of your global learners with e learning translations.
