@TastyTuoyo, you're right if you have lots of money and time to waste.
@SelfmadeOLX, you'll need lots of money and time.
@CezarThaViruz, It's more than I can type here. You know we all have different reasons for doing things. The School fee 15k when I started and there wasn't fee for 2nd semester, I'm an HND graduate but I came to acquire bsc cos it was cheap, now I've spent more than 400k though I'm in my last semester. You can compare the amount. We are always paying for textbooks we don't get, missing results and series of stupid policies coming up every day, e.g restricting number of credit units one can do per semester(this is open university for goodness sake), also, I.T was added to a semester after I've passed d level but I was told by the school counselor that I must do it. Too many things I can't type here.
@Emanus, you are correct. It's really serious, it was like you saw me checking my wallet today, I was very surprised.
I would have set up one good small business, or finished my ICAN.

NOUN isn't the perfect school in Nigeria, the things you mentioned and more happen in conventional universities. How many university actually gives text book after course registration? They provide link for free download of course materials where you can't get the hard copy from them. Even some schools of nursing pay that amount you mentioned in a year and I'm not talking about private ones. Some don't pay two semesters but pay more than what you pay in a session as their single session school fees. I do hope it gets better for the other situations but don't make it seem like the situation is peculiar to NOUN. You don't even have to deal with bribe, sexual harassment and strike and it's very flexible. At least give them some credit. If I wasn't in the system and especially if I don't have a previous academic experience to compare, your comment would have made me feel it's all bad and no good.

I already have my B.Tech from Federal University and currently pursuing my M.Sc in ABU,Zaria. I did PGDE for education background and improve my teaching skills but it was all flaws.

You can despise my words but you will tell the ugly stories like me later. I am not bother about you running a cheap degree with exorbitant fees but my worry for you is demoralization and stomach ulcer you will live yourself which antacid" can not cure.

I remembered my boss scammed but I have made up mind not to scam any one with the good stories of NOUN.

Nigeria Government is not prepared for Open University, Obasanjo's brought to join the leagues of Bachelor's degree with his personal ambition. Anyone good for you.

But I know many of us here were told of the easy academics in NOUN, that was why someone like me could be scam.

I will advise you to go to UNISA which is one of the best rated open University in world which your stories will be change and money spent will be worth.

Our Government has never been faithful about lots of things and they come with all soughts of cheap things ( NOUN, Npower etc) for people just think that spending so much on this and at the end of the program you will be above 28- years after series of omissions and missing of results and you can get job again. Imagine you applied for EFCC, NPF with Waec, NCE or poly results you have better chances of being selected. Be wise . You can even set up kiosk with your portal fee if you can just check or you allow to withdraw it Lols and see how your shop will be.

When people are saying don't do something, you know they have seen something.

You know, dog that barks without seeing something is not foolish? Else me and you.

Bros that you also have a story tell, I wish you let them know so that people can actually here your stories and if you follow up with trend, I regret doing PGDE.

For how long will they perfect what they have establish since?

Conventional University have there flaws but you knos students can protest and unionism can come to play. Even in university there is quality assurance Dept where you can write and it will be investigated in cases of raping, and advent of phone records have brought careful attitude among lecturers else you don't have facts.
I was expecting to read a very pitiful story seeing a really long write up only for me to find you going around in circles and giving us idioms. It's your opinion sha. The reason you can put a price on it is because they provide a way for you to keep account of almost every penny spent. Education is not cheap, and believe it or not, NOUN is one of the less priced ones.

Read what he wrote again and you will see where he said he has 'over three friends'. You ought to examine yourself and be sure you don't lack good comprehension of English language before you make jest of another person.

The school has resumed for a new semester since June 27. You will be admitted to 200l provided you have upper credit and meet all necessary requirements. You should budget like 70k for your first semester.

Thanks for the corrections
Good comprehension hasn't helped anyone so far, it hasn't put money nor food on anyone's table
BTW no one is trying to make jest of anyone
As seen in my post earlier, I am trying to get answers..
If you have no idea to the answers to my questions above please don't quote me on the basis of good English comprehension.. Thanks

Trying to get answer in form of mockery? Just try to deal with your incomprehension and stop relating it with money and food( I already know that that is what your likes would resort to). I won't quote you again and I also don't want you to quote me again. Take care and God bless.

These are one of the reasons most of us sieze to help guyz around here. Some people just come here to hear reasons why they shouldn't apply for a course in NOUN,truth is u are deceiving yourselves. I am a victim of things I can't mention online in conventional university,it doesn't mean conventional schools are bad.......but I had my bitter experience. If u like, pick your form.......if u like keep asking excusable questions.
