sweetchi1011:2018 Application has begun and admission had started. The first semester 2018 will lapse till July. Depending on the study center, classes are conducted at study centers. For your maiden semester, prepare 75-80k. It depends on your number of courses though. 1 Like |

HOW TO CALCULATE NATIONAL OPEN UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA (NOUN) EXAMINATION AND TMA SCORES. Exams are ongoing and the majority of students especially new students want to know how NATIONAL OPEN UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA (NOUN) grading system is when it comes to calculating Exam Score and TMA. In this article, I will teach you how to calculate NOUN exam Scores. NOUN Exam is over 70 NOUN TMA is over 30 TOTAL: 100 TMA means Tutor Marked Assignment. For your registered course, you are entitled to 4TMA, of which you must submit before the end of the semester exam. After submitting, it will be graded over 10, but the best three TMA will be considered and be chosen, which makes it 30. Example Let’s take CIT101 as a course case study. Let’s say, TMA 1 you scored 9.50 TMA 2 you scored 10.0 TMA 3 you scored 9.00 TMA 4 you scored 10.0 The best three(3) are 9.50, 10.0 and 10,0– which is equal to 29.50 over 30 Your TMA score is 29.50 over 30. Now the question is, how do I calculate my exam score plus my TMA score? It’s straightforward!!!! You should note that all NOUN questions don’t Have the same number of questions, some have 100, 120, 150 and 35. The courses with 35 are most of the time MTH courses. 100 and 120questions are 2unit courses 150 questions are 3 unit courses Anyway, let’s get into started… For Example: (CIT101) After the CIT101 exam, you checked your score, and you scored 95 out of 120 questions. And in your TMA for CIT101, as I said earlier, you scored 29.50/30. To calculate your total score over 100, use this formula: Formula: X/Y x 70/1 That is, let X = what you score in the exam, and Y = the total number of exam question, which simply means, EXAM SCORE divided by NUMBER OF EXAM QUESTION multiplied by 70. Whatever your result is from the above calculation, you’ll now add it to your TMA. Let’s do the math: Exam score (X) = 80 Total number of exam question (Y) = 100 Therefore, it will be 80/100 x 70 The result is 56 Your exam score is 56 (N.B.: your TMA score is 29.50). Now, to get final result add 56 exam + 29.50 TMA – Result is 85.5 Which means, CIT102 = A. Also, note, you’ll follow the same way to calculate if your exam question is 100 or 150. But in the case of 35 questions, all you need to do is multiply whatever you score by 2. That is, if you score 20/35, it will be 20 x 2, which is equal to 40, meaning that you score 40/70. But sometimes, it will have been programmed in such a way the calculation would have been done. You’ll know if it is. You’ll see your score over 70. NOUN adopts the general grading system, find it below: 0-39. — F 40-44 — E 45-49 — D 50-59 — C 60-69 — B 70-100 – A Thank you for reading. 1 Like |

Evening all I know by now most of the students writing E-Exam have experience how NOUN exam is... It always the Good, the Bad and the Ugly but i want to tell you all not to be discouraged Always be prepared for the worst, read anything you can lay your hands on and leave the rest to God Please always work with your TIME, have a TO DO LIST...Time is very important, don't go late for your exams. Finish up your TMA if you have not done yet, just less than A DAY AND SOME HOURS Be careful and dont do anything that can implicate you cos the consequence is real o Read your Study materials, the little you can it never too late, study your TMA and PAST QUESTIONS you never can tell which will help Don't go to school with the master TMA and past questions...Do ur reading at home or else where which would be convenient but not in your STUDY CENTRE You can still get your past question and TMA though i doubt anyone should still be struggling with TMA now from us you can chat me up for that any other form of information you might need to get Wish you the best in your exam Thanks Macharthony 2 Likes |
