Many people commenting here do not know the reason why the opening and closing bell for NYSE or any stock exchange market is being rung. I think it is a good invitation for the president and an opportunity for him to discuss economic ties with important American investors. 1 Like |

This is silly and shameful, go and ring bell in America when your country has no light, no economy, no job, no roads, schools are on strike and no full budget implementation. Where are his advisers? if there is anytime to say no to America this is the time. How about ringing bell in Nigeria so that the common man will fill your impact as president? I guess ringing bell in America is a requirement for re-election. Some ppl will sing praises on him for ringing bell. CNN guys will put him on hot seat interview again and his answer as usual "Ask any Nigeria, that is one area govt has made improvement". |

@Boss13 You discuss economic ties when you have the environment, there is no environment for Nigerians at home to invest and he wants to go discuss economic ties with Americans? |

The President has distance himself from the mood of this nation. This is a time for him to be neutral and not taking flight to America to start ringing a stupid bell. This is a time for him to commision real projects he has done for the past three years. This is a time for him to impress us and not Americans. SMH 1 Like |

when master (US govt) comes calling slave (Badluck Jonathan) trips over himself in order to do his master's bidding, this is why the US govt love nigerians - easy to fool and manipulate. While other countries like China, Brazil, South Africa and India are putting the final touches to a currency which will replace the US dollar as the world reserve currency, loyal slaves like Badluck continue to align themselves with the US dollar which is in its final stages of survival as anthe world reserve currency. 1 Like |

As prestigous as it's for Heads of State to address the General Assembly of the United Nations, no Nigerian leader that has so done is making noise about it. Here you hear noise being made because the President wants to ring the closing bell in the NYSE. The President had the opportunity of addressing the African Union this year but he was nowhere to be found. 1 Like |

Boss13: Many people commenting here do not know the reason why the opening and closing bell for NYSE or any stock exchange market is being rung. I think it is a good invitation for the president and an opportunity for him to discuss economic ties with important American investors. But do you really know the purpose behind the NYSE?. Who decide of the price of African natural ressources to keep Africa in poverty?. And where?. Capitalism has many fancy definitions in essence its just lying about a value of something desired at that moment in time for profit. A thing or service cost me $1 I will sell for $5 I make $4 profit. It is the art of lying about a true value. Thus making it the driver of business bu–SIN-ness. The science of sin in order to gain wealth. Someone will always lose in a capitalist exchange whether it be in money, human life or the environment. Capitalism by nature can only exist within an environment where equality is not present as a difference must exist for an advantage to be made. 1 Like |
