Hello Dear Nairaland forum members,

I am seeking your opinions on a very pressing issue. I intend to pursue a Master's degree program in the US but I'm at a loss at which one.
I've always wanted to do an MSc. in Finance but after my 3 years work experience specializing in Marketing/Social media advertising/Business Development. I want a new slate. I thought of an MSc in Finance but a friend advised me against it on the grounds that :

An MBA is more general while an MFin. is more specialized
An MFin will fetch you a job as a Financial analyst in Investment banking
while an MBA can fetch you an Associate position which supervisory position and it could take the MFin grad 3-5years to get to the Associate level.

Now while I have no love for the financial services companies,(I prefer a strategy position/ management) . I need your opinion on the more reasonable/profitable path.

Thank you as I await your comments. wink wink wink wink
