I think the only countries that should be banned from the DV lottery are the ones that bring their culture and try to force you to live by them and discard your own culture for theirs. e.g Sharia |

How come UK is asking Nigerians to pay bond and US remove Nigeria from Visa lottery, is there a conspiracy against Nigeria from the west? Could it be same sex marriage issue , our relationship with china or fear of terrorism? Is it just a coincidence that we are ask to pay bond to UK and removed from us lottery in the same year? 1 Like |

chymystique: I heard Nigeria was included cos we ve nt legalized same sex marriage.. Dunnoo if d rumour is true You are very right here, all these including the bond placed by Uk to restrict Nigerians was all because of our hard stand on gay marriage. Those who know, know this very well, any other reason stated are just for diplomacy. |

Bravo US. Naija People wake up and fight to make your country what you want it to be. The US did not get to where they are without a fight. Mr Hawkins also move to minimize the frequent and random visits of our politicians and leaders to your country. |

Good riddance to bad rubbish,if the americans never stayed and developed their country the world wont be running there for greener pastures, infact they should even close the visa lottery forever. NIGERIANS STAY AND DEVELOP YOUR COUNTRY. 1 Like |

According to US, there won't be Nigeria in 2015 and they have to remove the name as soon as possible. |

And some folks will come here and tell us that Nigeria is the best place to live on earth bla bla bla , and everything is jolly jolly but i guess those 50 thousand Nigerians that have voted with their feet by running away to the US in the last five years, don't share in those false sense of patriotism from folks that will do thanksgiving if giving visas to Malaysia. |

mekaboy: How come UK is asking Nigerians to pay bond and US remove Nigeria from Visa lottery, is there a conspiracy against Nigeria from the west?I don't think there is any conspiracy. Nigerians can still travel to the US via student visas, visiting visas, or via the marriage route. The fact that they have closed one route out of several doesn't suggest any conspiracy whatsoever. |

It's all politics as well as strong message to Nigerian leaders to fix up Nigeria. But it's a shame that the poor people benefiting from this programme will suffer, haven't said that, some suffering Nigerians have nothing in their heads but to commit a fraud or financial crime and I think this are some reasons such decisions were made. God will help us only if we worship him sincerely with our heart and also change our mentality to be honest to our Country and not serving all this BUSINESS RELIGIOUS LEADERS doing 19 Job indirectly. Nigeria I hail thee. |

This is a good sign, i don't care about the motive behind this action but i believe that indirectly it is a blessing. I want US and others to stop every Nigerin "except student" from getting their visa so that we all can stay and fight for what is rightfully belong to us. |
