Oh in that case... it's definitely not a new 'idea'... there must be hundreds of films/scripts out there with a person looking for his or her birth mother.

I'll let you in on a secret... both this script and my short film 'Sweet Sixteen' were both inspired by a friend I used to work with... he never knew he was adopted and when he found out he ended up finding his 'birth-mother' over the Internet. It's pretty easy to twist it into a dozen 'stories'.

I think I get what mufex is saying; though he may not have expressed it in the right way.

Villageboi himself has said it on the thread that the plot isn't far from the usual nollywood thingy but what stands out is the style of writing which I totally agree. And that was why I even said I didn't "feel" the plot but still, it's a good job.

But saying it's 'not original' doesn't go well with me 'cos that statement appears ambiguous and could be easily misconstrued.

@Prof...you don't comment like before on scripts posted in this section. Abi is that part of the code as a moderator? 'Am just being curious.

But honestly, I downloaded the .pdf on the first day but I just read it at daybreak today.
I even tried playing out one of the characters by reading his dialogue out..(this is what some screenplay critics do for un produced scripts)
And honestly from the beginning I knew the 'lady that kissed me deeply' was going to be my mother.

Hmm...I know you are extremely happy that uj sizzle liked it. She was the target audience.

this is is pacy and deviod of unnessesary diversions. quite nice for a specimen script. written lots of scripts myself. not much camera directionn that cld vex the director. dialogue is good and no over explained scenes. however work more instructions that will help the the production guys. goodluck.
