Will There Ever Be A Revolution In Nigeria? by ginuwine: 10:13am On Sep 23, 2013 |
This topic is not in any way intended to insult anybody or a group of person, but to understand that d above may be jst a pipe dream for us nigerians, going by the way the country is been run by the '' ogas @ d top''. Often times, i've seen on dis forum ppl wishing for a revolution in dis country. personally, i think it will ''never'' happen, for the following reasons i shall put fort. 1. [b]COMPLEXITY OF THE NIGERIAN NATION: Nigeria as a country is a multi-cultural & ethnic entity. Within a region, we may have a pletora of mother tongues. One thing i've come to understand, d language is/can be a determining factor in the revolt process. 2. TRUST: do nigerians trust themselves enough to tell themselves their inner thought, with no attendant fear of sell-out by other? 3. THE FEEL GOOD FACTOR: For an average nigerian who is comfortable, he wldn't want anytin to disrupt that comfort. This brings up the question " if all of u wishing for a revolution, where given an office where u get to make 5k daily, wld u still want a revolution? NB: all of dis are entirely my personal thought. ur views as well as criticism are welcome. |
