I am in a dilema, do i apply for ACCA or do i do CFA exams?

Please landers help me out. Which one is more respected, more recognised and more empowering? Especially for someone who needs to be strong in the corporate world.

Help me with detailed advise on advantages and/or disadvantages of either.

thanks

Depends on wat u want to be, an accountant (debit, credit, balance book) then go for ACCA or an analyst (financial analyst, investment, mergers and acquisition etc) then go for CFA

if u dont want to be an accountant dont waste any precious time doing ACCA, u can go straight to CFA if u want to be an analyst, ACCA wont take u any where as an analyst, except u just want to get certficates for the sake of certification

Cool, thanks. I like the idea of going thru with acca then proceeding to cfa if necessary.

There are elements of accounting all over the CFA curriculum. Infact its roughly about 45%. It is very good for analyst type roles but since you are interested in risk management try FRM instead
