All the physical constants are the same throughout the universe. The mass of the electron, proton and neutron is constant, the charges of these particles are constant. the atomic weight of all the elements in the periodic table are constant. The speed light in a vacuum is constant, etc. in fact physics depends on constants. So why would the laws governing other parts of the universe be significantly different from ours.

Get this, life as defined by us is not presumptuous. What i'm saying is presumptuous is that we tend to say that since the basic building block of life here on earth is carbon then it must be so everywhere else in the universe. The problem with that is, we have not encountered extraterrestial life forms yet to make such conclusions. Whose to say we won't find aliens with say, titanium based building blocks? We cannot categorically state that for every and all life to exists everywhere and anywhere in the universe, it must be carbon based. Do you get it now?

N/B: I assume our definition of life is MR NIGER D?

And for those those debating about carbon base and sillicon base lifeform, alway remember quantum physics say goodbye to reality....lol even prominent scientists are yet to come to term with that.

I see nothing but human arrogance @wirinet! How can we believe to know so much scientific possibilities about our Universe when we are yet to travel to nearby planets and solar systems within our galaxy much less talk of other galaxies?
