Too bad their men are only interested in underaged 13year olds, by the way i thought early marriage was supposed to be a solution for problems such as these? And where is yerima's ex wife he divorced in order to marry the egyptian girl, I hope she too don apply?

madridsta007:

They get married at age 10, pushed into 'marriage' by their fathers because, according to some selfish hardliners, Islam says they should marry underage. There are many 'Yerimas' ready to 'marry' them. They get violated at that same age, and many get the VVF disease. The men they 'marry' to, marry other girls and do not care for them as they are diseased and no more fresh. They get treatment for the disease, which is incurable only managed. At this stage they are without a job, a husband, they have a child and they have a disease.

They now go and look for something to live on. The lucky ones get involved in petty trading and the unlucky ones get into prostitution... They both find it hard to survive and then start to look for men to marry, men who are not forthcoming. If they have girls as daughters, they push them to get married at 9-10 years, so they can get some money from their dowries. The vicious cycle continues.

That is the story of the rural Northern woman. The elite, middle-class and religious leade
rs using religion to oppress the masses; the masses become robots, without the capacity to think or operate on their own. The educated ones amongst the Northerners, maintain silence, like some selfish corporate agreement.

Very apt analysis of life in the North. Saints by day, the worst sinners by night.
Such is the hypocrisy of their lifestyle with a conniving silence of their religio-political leaders.

salt 1: . Why should Islamic bodies in the south be the one to educate them. Why should NGOs be the ones to spearhead this. They have a Governor. Those that went to help in schools and hospitals are killed. Corps members are killed. Their elite fling it in our faces that the Muslim woman is very happy with her lot and doesn't need any help. Why should others drink Panadol for another person. They ain't seen nothing yet. Let the north continue on its self annihilation course

Bro, make we take am easy grin

That's why I said Islamic bodies. If their govt knew what to do, it would not have gotten this bad embarassed

that bible verse does not apply the situation here. One wants to get married because of food clothes and shelter, while the ones im the bible are self-sufficient, they only want to be accorded the title of 'Mrs'.

You can be a consultant to show them the way to Italy, where your women go to sell puny.
BH defender and e-warrior, how are you?
You folks have been scarce on this thread. I thought you folks justified early marriage to save the girls from selling their bodies. How come 5000 out of 8000 are divorced? How come they are looking for men who can buy them at the rate of 4 women per man and even such services are unavailable?

Re: Zamfara Women Protest Over Husband Scarcity by biafranqueen: 1:10pm On Sep 28, 2013
saved: :---Yerima style. Infact, Zamfara men are fond of divorcing their women by traditional means known as Saike, (pronounced as say- ke). It can be saike biu (2) or saike huku (3). The women must learn through this divorce by marrying two or three different husbands at different times, as the case may be, then, the first husband may come to invite her back home to tend the children. No body, i mean no family member, imam, friend, father nor mother is permitted to intervene for amiccable settlement between the man & his wife. He can then look for YARINYAN (Damsel of 10-13 years) to marry as AMERIYA (new wife). The painful aspect of it is that this tradition has been accepted as a religious norm in Zamfara & some part of the Religious North...Alhamdu li gallah.
