Don't get me wrong; if I say I'll call you back in 20 minutes I will definitely try to. If I can't I'll send a text message or something to inform you. But if I say later, please don't sit by your phone 5 minutes later waiting for it to ring.

That doesnt make sense though. How do you talk to someone and they say "Heuy I'll call you later" then YOU call again, what the hell is that? It ain't about courtesy or manners right now. If I say I'll call you back later, you can always ask "When?" Then I'll be obliged to give a specific time and be more serious about keeping to that time. But if you don't ask, be rest assured that eventually, I'll call you back but usually, it won't be within an hour's time or even in a day's time depending on why I want to talk you.

PS: No need to get angry because it's really not that serious.

it is not technically me waiting but the timing. i might have something important to do that day and i gave up that time to wait for that phone call. lets say a guy told me that he was gonna call me later. i cant really go any where cause if i miss the call he might think im not interested. and i cant be like "oh let me take my cell phone it will be alright" cause what if im at the gym. when im working out i get in the zone and dont have time for distractions.
