My schools case is the most annoying. we are yet to write our first semester exam, whereas other schools are through for the section. while schools like UNN will be starting the next academic section we will be busy trying to rush our prolonged academic calender. Gosh! my school is just soo useless. Even with the criticality of our situation they are still bent on continuing with the strike. God we really need your intervention. |

tpacalipse: ASUU is one. And at the negotiations wit Federal Government, state universities have their representatives too. This struggle is not for federal universities alone, state schools are also included as federal government fund states. If I must tell you, state universities have collected funds from the little that federal government has released. For example, Adekunle Ajasin has collected 1.05 billion directly from federal purse from this present strike action. The tertfund being enjoyed by most Lecturers on PhD programs and those travelling for conferences and seminars came from ASUU struggles and this funds are both enjoyed by state and federal universities. So many state universities in this country would be left naked if ETF buildings are removed from their institutions. Even some state universities shud be named ETF universities, as all their buildings are products of ETF, which is also a product of ASUU struggle. So, who the hell says state universities do not benefit from this struggle? It is very unfortunate that most Nigerian students do not even know what this ASUU strike is all about. Long live ASUU. Long live Nigeria. The funding for tertiary institutiond ASUU is fighting for is solely for the 61 federal schools. And why has AAUA's VC called to resume? I guess you falsified allocation from is enough for him. The main contention in the agreement is thr earned allowance for lecturers in federal institutions, no state univ will see a kobo from that. So pls tell another lie AAUA bursar. |

Bro,that's suicidal, cos our leaders would just send those military men to take us down, and nothing is gonna be done about that. What's the diffrence in fees between state owned university and privately owned one?if you ask me there no much diffrence ,they almost the same and the private univesity run their affairs based on their school fees and mind you this private universities don't have structures when i mean structures academic structure compared to the states uni, and this privare uni have to work out everthing themselves ,so my take is ,if the state universities wants a share from the ASUU benefits or subsidy as i call it then i believe their school fees should be the same with that of FG uni's if they want their big school fees then they should be independent just like private university. |
