Over 103 Dead bodies of Africans were found and displayed in Body Bags after their boat sank on the journey too Europe and 300 were feared to be drowned !!
It been described by Reuters on Thursday as ONE OF THE WORST HUMANITARIAN DISASTERS !

The tragedy has shocked The Italian government ! The 20 metre (66 foot) boat was reported to be carrying 500 people mostly from East Africa: Somalia and Eritrea,plus also Ghana, they included woman and children.
This is a re-occuring problem, and one that visibly shocked to the people of Sicily who laid out the bodies while international press amalgamated to view the horrific scene of dead Africans, who failed to reach their greener pastures. As I watched TV from my home I was moved and heard the reporter say the surviving Africans were dressed in New clothes and shoes, and really prepared for their NEW LIFE IN EUROPE >

The Tragedy began when apparently the motor of the boat failed and the passengers made a fire using a sheet to signal,causing the ignition of fuel on-board. Local fishing boats also helped to rescue pregnant woman and teenagers, and the Italian coastline was described as a cemetery.

NLanders; I don't know how you may feel about this constant exodus to the lands of Milk and honey, but I am actually saddened and hope something can be done for the sake of Humanity. The Italian President Giorgio Napolitano said action was needed by the UN to stem the massacres of innocent people...mean time Pope Francis said prayers and even made a comment on Twitter.
