Nigeria is inclined on a bad and risky economy where we sit, stretch our hands and legs waiting for NNPC to go sell crude oil. The economy is in good shape when NNPC returns (on time) with bumper sales, and in bad shape when the proceeds are either low or came too late. The accompanying question is, how long will a nation of over one hundred and fifty million people continue to wait for mama to sell Cassava before we can eat? It is awful that Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo state thinks Nigeria is in Financial Crisis simply because there was a delay in the disbursement of proceeds from Crude Oil from the Federal to State Government. He said: “Because when the Federal Government can’t pay salaries as at when due, you can’t pay your contractors and your contractors will begin to retrench their workers, that is a recipe for national disaster. So, I am hoping that the NNPC will wake up and meet its obligation to the Federation Account; otherwise, the integrity of the government is at stake"......
