James unwrapped the handkerchief and brought out his pistol. He looked at it and a devilish grin formed on his face. He brought it close to his heart and cuddled it a bit, smiling. It had been lying there unused for months now and he had missed it. It was time to get Bond back to action.

Bond was what he called his pistol, named after his favourite Hollywood character. Whenever he had his palms grasped tightly around Bond, he felt impregnable like James Bond in the movies. Apparently, when a James handles a Bond, there could be only one derivation-JAMES BOND!

He did a quick mental reassertion of who he was, and that helped him a bit as he began to feel a new bout of vitality flowing through his veins.

He lifted up his phone from his right front pocket; his gun enclosed in his left palms, and scrolled through his received calls and saw the number. He dialed and raised the phone to his ears like some Colombian drug baron. It rang for some seconds before someone at the other end picked up and said slowly, trying to psyche James out,

“It took you quite some time to figure it was me… you are not that tech after all” He chuckled.
“Smart move I must say. I guess I underrated you, but I always know how to clean up my mess.”
“Do you?” He taunted. “Let’s just say you are worn out and threadbare, and you have consequently lost your biting power.”
“Be careful of what you ask for boy, you may never live to know when you get it” James threatened.”
“Coming from someone as stale as you, you would have to threaten a zillion times before you even stand the chance of making a 2yr old wet his pants.”
“Bravado! You seem to have mastered the game of wits. You were just too careless you overlooked its intricacies….Where is Michael?”
“Am sure the kid loves this place more than that dungeon of yours”, He mocked.
James had had enough,” Get ready Asshole!” and he clicked off.

He thought for a moment and put the phone back to its position, the gun, he kept at his right back pocket. He dashed out of the room to the sitting room where he saw Razz had already crashed on the couch, far asleep. Sleek on the other hand was sitting as he sat when James left for the room, still beaming that idiotic smile.

James observed him for a minute, wondering what was wrong with him.
“Sleek” he bellowed.
“Yes” Sleek answered surprisingly.
“Oh! Alright” James said and began to tap Razz till he woke.
“Listen guys, go inside and get your metals, it’s time to pay and old friend a courtesy visit” He smiled wryly.

Razz and Sleek rushed inside, Razz with more alacrity. They were soon out with their glittering metals. James briefed them on how the mission was to go in no time.

“Now, let’s go” He commanded.

They were all reaching for the door when James phone rang. He hissed and quickly brought out the phone only to realize the call came from Henrietta. He pondered for a second and grimaced. Henrietta and her habit of calling at odd hours when a mission was on. Perhaps she has finally agreed to remove the thing, he thought.

He hissed again and vented his anger on the receiver button, punching it real hard.
“So what is it this time? Have you finally agreed to my terms?” He asked fiercely.
A weeping voice responded, “This is Joy, Henrietta’s roommate…”
