My people, This is a grave insult to the intelligence of Nigerians! Like someone mentioned earlier, some ordinary Nigerians might start believing the "BULLOCKS" that this idiot is ranting. Occult ko, Dracular and UFO ni! Idiot. Why is it that only Nigerian airlines have been affected by the occultists and making them crash? What about foreign airlines: KLM, Airfrance, BA etc. Bullshit! The stupid people in the the so-called committee should have asked him this question. But they are all semi-illiterates who have been bought over and will never ask the right questions. That is part of the serious problems facing our society, when these people run out of administrative manupilations to fool the people , they will turn to some ABRAKADABRA sh!t. Until the people themselves start saying enough is enough, these people will continue taking Nigerians by the nose. Nonsense. |

Even if that was the case, Mr Fani Kayode as an educated professional shouldn't have come out to make such a despicable statement. I guess, the same Occultist should also be blamed for his arrest by EFCC officials. |

Nigeria is a special case study. When this topic first appeared, you wouldn't have thought that a decent, 21st century man or woman with brain tissues in his/her skull will agree with motor mouth Fani Kayode. But there you go, this is the same people that keep voting or rigging elections for armed robbers as their political leaders and expect result from them at the end of the day. Air mishaps are strictly caused by pure accident or in the Nigerian case pure negligence, infrastructural decay and outdated 18th century equipments, flying coffins called aircrafts, that are supposed to be in the scrap yards and not in the sky flying human beings. Few year ago, a stray cow nearly case a disaster at the Port Harcourt airport trying to run across a busy run-way. That cow is not a member of any occult group, but an insane managers of that airport find it unnecessary to fence the airport, then waiting for disaster to happen. In any land where Fani Kayode comment is given even a nod is doomed. |

@TOks2008, I don't blame you for reasoning from you backside, too much consumption of untreated sewage and water. If you don't know why plane are crashing in Nigeria more than in Congo, that is your business, but don't expect the rest of us to join your occult bandwagon. When you reason like this, no wonder there are more churches in Nigeria than the faithfuls. Every Dick and Harry in Nigeria now seems to have God's telephone number. Whatever evil they committ they will ascribe it to God as his will or to other forces without blinking. Every sunday, every school, warehouse is a church with people like you spewing nonsense to mindless and hapless lambs. Pastor in the morning, armed robbers at night. Nigeria needs more than a messiah. |

According to what Tipsydude wrote; [I would also like us to take our mind back to when Borishade was Education Minister. I am talking about the level of cultism at the time and how he handled the matter. That was during the OAU and Ibadan cult massacres, just to highlight the prominent ones. That was the first time he was first linked to an Occult group and he didn't bother denying the allegations at the time rather he was like "it" (being cultism) made him untouchable. This led to the serious outcry from many religious leaders when he was appointed Minister of Aviation. Many of them foresaw nothing but doom and woes ahead and time proved them right] I think this is a very good food for thought for everyone. Toks |

@edgecution And did Fani mention any name? Of what value was the information he provided? The yeye man only tried to divert attention away from the real issue. He and his cohorts had misappropriated funds meant for sanitizing that sector. We need no 'occults-are-behind-the-air-mishaps'' story to fix the obvious lapses in the aviation sector. Again, Fani kayode should just keep quiet and face justice. |

Anuli ph May the soul of my dearest mummy and those who died in the crashes rest in peace. Amen. I hope neither you nor your family collected the compensation for the crash victims, assuming the airline has paid yet since you attribut the crash to spiritual forces hence the airlines and FG agencies have no blame whatsoever. Make u siddon dia make the airline owners and FG employees dey smile go bank. Instead make una find better lawyer file civil suit for damages from gross negligence due to non-airworthy aircraft and inadequate aviation control equipment etc, una dey say na winch, as e be say na only for naija plane dey crash. |

occult or not let me ask some logical questions about bellview: The captain was on board with a friend of his the co-pilot was on board with his newly wedded wife the engineer that checked the plane before take off was on board a cabin-crew was on with her fiance(their tradition marriage was for the following Wednesday) Did they all plan to commit suicide? |

Apart from the shameless thievery by James Ibori,if there was a time I was so dissappointed in scions of the younger generation who have held positions of authority,Fani Kayode is very apt. He should just go and bury his face in shame, for uttering such arrant nonsense. Just because folks think, and rightly so that Nigerians are very superstitious and religious @ the same time, therefore he can just spew any feeble crap that bothers on the superstitioous just to wriggle out of the dragnet. Well it's said that a drowning man will clutch @ anything We're even lucky he didn't say that it was because Nigerians did not join him in the funny way he bends his fila that infuriated the remnant of Hurricane Katrina to find it's way to our airspace and pushed the planes down Pleaaaassssssssse spare me this crap from an obvious nincompoop |

Re: Fani-Kayode Blames Occultists For 2006 Plane Crashes by Enigma(m): 9:59pm On Jul 03, 2008 |
Fani-Kayode told the committee that in spite of the battles he had with the cult group within the industry, he was able to put in place some measures such that his tenure did not record a single plane crash. The Tribune's news reporters that wrote the story obviously have very poor comprehension --- an inability to put figures of speech in context. It is also rather a shame that most people commenting on this thread did not read the story properly ---- separating Fani-Kayode's own words (as quoted) from the nonsense written by the reporters. An aside: this poor basic comprehension is also reflected in how our people (supposedly educated people) are easily fooled by for example false pastors twisting the Bible to teach the very opposite of what the Bible actually teaches. |
Re: Fani-Kayode Blames Occultists For 2006 Plane Crashes by Esss(m): 10:31pm On Jul 03, 2008 |
I think Fani Kayode is telling the truth. On the fateful day Sosoliso crashed, Hogwarts students were having a quidditch match at the airport, and I think the plane was hit by a bludger that knocked it out of the sky. And Bellveiw's pilot was distracted by the snitch that he also crashed the plane. What do these people take Nigerians for?? Look at the kind of rubbish we were subject to under Obasanjo?? And this is how he justifies the neglect that led to the death of kids who were returning from school?? Na wah!! Tufiakwa!! What qualifications did this idiot have that made him the best candidate in our entire aviation industry to be made minister of aviation?? |
Re: Fani-Kayode Blames Occultists For 2006 Plane Crashes by chidichris(m): 2:52am On Jul 04, 2008 |
at least, a bad excuse is better than none. by the way, it is there faults? answer - NOOOOOOOO who were they? how did they become aviation ministers? borrishade we all knew doomed the education section and when the masses could no longer endure him, the wonderful obj considered him fit for aviation. fani kayode was a paid labourer or put it the other way round, obj's broadcaster and was later compensated for his job well done with such a sensitive appoint - minister of aviation. all the same, i think the most important thing is to ask the fool to point the occultists one after the other, ask him how he curtailed their activities during his time as minister of aviation. obj is the disgrace and not the tauts he choosed as ministers and advisers. like president like ministers |

It's a shame that some Nigerian graduates do not know how to read This was what Fani Kayode said Not only did they not care, but some of them actually enjoyed the prospect: What we were dealing with was a cruel and unconscionable blood cult who derived their power and strength from a frenzied and insatiable lust for blood. How can any educated person stand there and tell me that he was talking about a 'criminal corrupt cult'?! Are the words 'insatiable lust for blood' and 'blood cult' meaningless to you? The guy was talking about evil occultists, juju etc. And he's stark, raving mad! Enigma: Negro, we know how to read - unlike you! We know what quoted speech looks like. Read the article carefully before making a fool of yourself. |

he was raised from what you people perceive as "heathen origins". In the heathen world costly mistakes and failures are attributed to withcraftcy. I bet you if a poll was made through out nigeria 85% of the people will agree with Kayode. DONT CRITICISE OR LAMPOON HIM. He only hoped the senators are from his contituency. |

wow! nigerians, we can put education to shame, i never see. so if occults were behind all the crashes, why did they spend so much money instead of getting pastors to pray for God to intervene? |

Are these folks literate? What does their poor planning and embezzlement have to do with occultics? the funds they should have used to buy equipments, radars and all that stuff at airports is what they have pocketed the blood of those lost souls are on their head i know it |
Re: Fani-Kayode Blames Occultists For 2006 Plane Crashes by sturvs: 11:09pm On Jul 07, 2008 |
We Nigerians know a lot of things in our world today (not only Africa) have spiritual implications. To have that many crashes in one year might have been due to carelessness of Aviation officials but it could also have had some spiritual backing. Car accidents, illnesses, plane crashes could all have spiritual implications. But in the scenario Fani-Kayode is in (secular & legal probation), that is in no way a logical reason. He could say that at home with friends or at church, but not at a panel/hearing. |

Utter rubbish. That Mugu Fani Kayode should go hide his face in shame. I was on a Lufthansa flight on sunday when the Captain announced that there had been no information form Abuja airport on the weather since 5am in the morning. Basically he flew into Abuja without having any idea of what the weather was like. Na occultic people dey work for the airport? We nigerians really need to sit up |
