Akika, is here again,
He goes on a journey every trimester
Sometimes half of a sunny year,
For years the teachers sought their pay
without a knife.
This time they hold the throat of the
government so high,
The student are at home begging their
fate,
Some have gone the market way,
Others the sailors way.
Parents are weeping their stocks are at
bid,
Akika meets with the government,
Each meeting is a deadline,
Akika is asking for thirty and hundred a
billion way.
The government gives the thirty a billion
way,
Akika raises the knife to slash a knife,
The government steps aside,
The student is cut.
Nigeria my fatherland when shall these
killings cease,
The independence is past three and fifty
we count this year,
Yet we sit on the gunpowder of
nothingness.
The future is dark,
As the schools of excellence are closed,
When shall the stars of your future shine,
Akika you are petulent child whose plate
must never be clean.
O you wicked government pay Akika so
he goes his way,
The last time you bought a shoe, the size
of my ancestors farm,
Pay Akika so your future will be bright.
