Garri the 1st: This gesture simply shows the kind of man Ngige is. Like Roachas he is a bridge-builder. Unlike Peter Obi and Co who are "local champions". Ngige connects with his people everywhere and I'm sure when he becomes governor he will protect Ibo interests all over the country.

He campaigned in Anambra and was massively supported. We didn't see him being pelted with pure water satchets as some toads prophesied.

Peter and others should learn from Ngige and Roachas. They should know that as long as Nigeria exists, you must accept and cooperate with politicians from other regions with the aim of furthering the interest of your people..
Ngige become bridge builder the day they kick his sorry a*s out of pdp
Am sorry to announce this to you; Anambra election has been won by Obiano, we voted Ngige out not because of his party affiliation, we don't want rascality, touts and do or die politics in our dear state.

INNO18: Those who constantly live in the past, find it hard moving forward in the present. If Germany had kept living in the pain of What Great Britain and USA did to her during the 2nd world war, do you think Germany would be where it is today? We've got to move on in life, Funny thing is majority of those people we despise because they 'Hated' us are all gone...yet we keep carrying the memories on like venom.

chukwudi44:

You seriously expect peter obi to campaign in lagos for a gubernatorial poll holding inAnambra state? SMH
The significance is that you guys have been saying that since the so called Lagos deportation saga and ngige principled bridge building stance, that he is finished politically. Some of you went as far as claiming that he dared not step anywhere in anambra to campaign.

It has turned out to be a huge lie so far. What the ladipo rally signifies to the igbos in anambra is simply that if their brethren in lagos who live in lagos do not have any issue with NGIGE who are we to cry more than the bereaved?
I only wish ngige's detractors can show me any other politician that has had to confront the kind of wicked and tribal baiting and negative propaganda he has had to withstand and still remain this popular and loved by his people.
Lastly, there is a moral to this and here it is. If NGIGE had taken the simple option of disassociating himself from APC and his Yoruba allies, he would have had a far easier ride. By remaining steadfast, despite the handicap of his stance, he paints the picture of a politician who is principled and courageous.

And who voted for Ngige as a candidate under ACN and sent him to Abuja to represent them instead of the AGPA candidiate? Aliens from Mars or Ibo people in Iboland?

Must you people not make sense sometimes?

Well said and articulated..

Furthermore, the Ladipo folks are his people and good or bad, they have their own worries and legitimate concerns and they need a caring Ibo leaders to listen to their concerns and address the same concerns which so far Obi is not interested in or even acknowledge.

The deportation thing started because Obi showed no concern when alerted about his people in Lagos and later politicized the matter just to score cheap political advantage against Ngige?

This is a great and courageous move by Ngige and so far, all the silly proclamations and predictions of doom and gloom for him is not only not manifesting, he's actually even more popular and formidable..
