Our client, BlackHouse Media Group is currently seeking for candidates to take up ENTRY and MIDDLE LEVEL roles within the organisation. PUBLIC RELATIONS EXECUTIVE JOB CODE BHM/16185/130710 JOB SUMMARY This position will be responsible for the following: • Planning publicity strategies and campaigns; • Writing and producing presentations and press releases; • Dealing with enquiries from the public, the press, and related organizations; • Organizing promotional events such as press conferences, open days, exhibitions, tours and visits • Speaking publicly at interviews, press conferences and presentations; • Providing clients with information about new promotional opportunities and current PR campaigns progress; • Analysing media coverage; • Commissioning or undertaking relevant market research; • Liaising with clients, managerial and journalistic staff about budgets, timescales and objectives; • Designing, writing and/or producing presentations, press releases, articles, leaflets, ‘in-house' journals, reports, publicity brochures, information for web sites and promotional videos. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES FOR THE POSITION • Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing • Excellent interpersonal skills • Ability to use the computer and work with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project Management packages. • Excellent presentation skills • Ability to take initiative and make on- the – spot decisions • Ability to work tight deadlines and deliver on agreed targets. • Ability to prioritize and plan effectively • Awareness of different media agendas and an understanding of how they work. • Creativity. RELEVANT EXPERIENCE 2 - 3 years experience working in a similar role QUALIFICATION A degree/HND in the humanities or social sciences i.e. language and communications, management, business or media studies, marketing or behavioural sciences from a reputable institution. Membership of a recognized PR body will be of added advantage. SOCIAL MEDIA EXECUTIVE JOB CODE: BHM/19135/130710 Job Summary: • Posting relevant materials on our social media sites to ensure daily conversations on our social media sites and other community sites. • Daily suggesting tweets, facebook, memes, ideas to promote clients, projects, BHM, etc. in line with on-going activities. • Issuing daily facebook notes in BHM facebook page consisting of spins, photo releases and videos. • Adopting and managing social media campaigns to maintain top of the mind awareness for clients and agency alike. • Working with each client to determine what their goals are for implementing social media into their overall marketing strategy. • Monitoring social media trends of clients, rival agencies and rival brands. • Organizing press activities, social media activities, events and tradeshows. • Developing and distributing releases to the full range of media outlets including national, suburban and regional TV, radio and Internet. • Proactively seeking media opportunities that support the organization’s and campaign objectives. • Evaluating and reporting on the reach and impact of media activities through regular media monitoring and contribute copy for campaign evaluations. • Creating and maintaining media contact lists, liaise with individuals and media outlets and develop and manage relationships with key media partners including outlets, PR agencies and contractors. • Coordinating the development, production and distribution of audio-visual materials, web-based advertisements and other broadcast media materials. • Supporting campaigns through the development of media messaging, briefing notes and acts as a media spokesperson when required. • In consultation with relevant campaign managers, overseeing the development and running of campaign launch and media sites. • Monitoring social media outlets • Responding to posts as needed using the pre-written format • Reporting issues and consult with supervisor regarding posts REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES FOR THE POSITION • Must have prior experience with social media outlets • Must be self-directed and self-motivated • Must have exceptional communications skills, both oral and written • Ability to manage multiple priorities at once and shift priorities seamlessly • Must have outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail • Flexibility and adaptability as projects and priorities evolve • Must have passion for the digital space • Must be proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) RELEVANT EXPERIENCE 2 - 3 years experience working in a similar role QUALIFICATION A degree/HND in the humanities or social sciences i.e. language and communications, management, business or media studies, marketing or behavioural sciences from a reputable institution. JOB CODE: BHM/4163/130710 JOB SUMMARY: • Dispatching of Office mails • Preparing daily work and run schedules. • Receiving or preparing work orders • Monitoring and maintenance of official Bike • Recording of Deliveries made to clients daily and ensuring the signatures of all receivers are recorded. • Arranging for necessary repairs in order to restore service and schedules. • Relaying work orders, messages, and information appropriately. • Confer with customers or supervising personnel in order to address questions, problems, and requests for service or equipment. • Recording and maintaining files and records of customer requests work or services performed charges, expenses, inventory, and other dispatch information. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES FOR THE POSITION • Ability to communicate in English Language is essential • Excellent interpersonal skills • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment • Ability to take initiative and make on- the – spot decisions • Ability to work tight deadlines and deliver on agreed targets • Ability to prioritize and plan effectively • Must be flexible and able to work independently and as part of a team • Creativity. RELEVANT EXPERIENCE 3-4 years’ experience working in a similar role QUALIFICATION A minimum of SSCE Certificate with a valid Nigerian driver’s license and good knowledge of Lagos.
