Interview With Paffcomm Anambra Gubernatorial Poll Analyst by emrall: 6:10pm On Oct 22, 2013
PAFFCOMM: Sir, it has been said by some people that your Poll is FALSE, what can you say about that?

POLITICAL AND POLL ANALYST: Well we do not expect everybody to accept our polls due to party affiliations and passions by party members to see their party be in the front and win the governorship race. However, we don't care what people say. The poll is for every party and candidate to see their standing and make more effort to win the heart of the electorates who will decide the winner. Politics is a game. However, I noticed some typographical errors in the poll published by Paffcomm press. The correct Poll's results are as follows:

Senator Ngige, the APC nominee, is ahead with 28%. Willie Obiano of APGA 23%. Nicholas Ukachukwu of PDP 19%. Ifeanyi Ubah of LP 8% among likely voters in the Anambra State, with 22% unsure. The Paffcomm Polls suggests a huge gender gap, with Senator Ngige, leading by a double digit figure of 11 points among women voters especially market women, but holding a much smaller two-point margin among men. Ngige has a five point lead over Willie Obiano and nine point lead over Nicholas Ukachukwu.

PAFFCOMM: Yes we noticed the errors after it was published though, we corrected the one published in the Paffcomm Facebook page, but was unable to correct the others published in the groups pages. We are terribly sorry for the mistake.

PAFFCOMM: Sir, can you analyze the governorship race in Anambra State?

POLITICAL AND POLL ANALYST: The race may be a two horse race between APC and PDP

PAFFCOMM: Sir, please sorry for interrupting you. How is APGA, which is an Igbo party behind APC?

POLITICAL AND POLL ANALYST: What you should know is that Igbos don't vote on party affiliation, but what a party promise to do for them. Igbo party as you may know died in 1983 when NPP was run over by NPN. Let me give you a brief history. NPP was established by Zik as Igbo party, they won five states during the 1979 election, the state includes: Old Anambra State, Old Imo State Old. Kaduna State, Old Plateau State and Old River State until 1982 when Ojukwu came back. It was believed that Ojukwu will join the Igbo party, which was NPP, but to the surprise of every Igbo Ojukwu, joined NPN. Ojukwu helped NPN to destroy NPP in the 1983 election. You may recall that the NPP did not win a single state in the 1983 election. Since then there has never been another Igbo party.

When Ojukwu joined NPN the respect for Zik died due to the insults Zik received from Ojukwu. It was an Ojukwu's insult on Zik that prompted other Igbos to start insulting Zik and cross carpeting of Igbo eminent personalities from NPP to NPN due to the money NPN was sharing during the campaign. An example of the insult Zik received from Ojukwu was the Mkpor shoot out between Jim Nwobodo the then governor of Anambra State and Ojukwu during the 1983 campaign that received condemnation across the nation against Ojukwu who later apologized to Zik and as well told Zik to warn his boy Jim Nwobodo. During the saga Zik only reminded Ojukwu that he was the first person that carried him upon his arm from his maternity bed the day he was born. However, there is no doubt that Ojukwu was a great hero and loved by the Igbos, A man who sacrificed his comfort to save his people, but many Igbos have not forgotten that history of insults on the great Zik of Africa which may play a role in deciding who leads Anambra State especially now that Ojukwu is no more.

As for Ngige, he laid a solid foundation among the traders who are the majority voting block in Anambra State electorate. Obi did not lay a solid foundation for APGA. He was carried away by the little opening to become vice-president under PDP and in so doing did not strategize APGA in the State for governorship election, but instead was destroying the party which led to many APGA members like Okoracha cross carpeting to APC. When the vice presidency did not materialize he scampered to repair what he destroyed during the vice presidential moves. Again, another dangerous gamble Obi played was the unknown candidate he forced on his party and his background with Obiano. Not many Anamberian accept that moves. According to some Anamberian they said, Obi is turning Anambra state to his own dynasty.

PAFFCOMM: Waooh! What a history. There are many things we do not know. However, how can Jonathan's campaign for Nicholas Ukachukwu, affect the polls?

POLITICAL AND POLL ANALYST: It is simply. The president have to borrow the words of Alhaji Shehu Shagari when he campaigned for CC Onoh of NPN and throw money around like Ibrahim Tahir who was spraying money from helicopters to the Anambra electorate during the campaign for the CC Onoh gubernatorial race. Bear in mind that Ojukwu joining the NPN did not play much role in the winning of NPN in Anambra state, but only help to destabilize NPP. The real thing that changed Anambra people were the promises of Shagari to Anambra people, of which one the promise was that their son Alex Ekwueme will be the president of Nigeria after he Shagari's tenure and for that dream to be realized Anambra will have to elect an NPN candidate as governor of the state. It was after President Shagari's campaign for CC Onoh that eminent ndigbo in NPP started to cross carpet to NPN which led to the success of NPN in the Old Anambra and Imo State in 1983.

PAFFCOMM: Paffcomm is said to be supporting Ngige how true is that statement?

POLITICAL AND POLL ANALYST: That is a complete nonsense. Paffcomm bashed Ngige more than any other candidate in this election. For any doubts please I advise you to go to www.paffcomm.com to see for yourself. Paffcomm does not support any candidate and we did not say that Ngige has already won the election, but that Ngige is presently leading other candidates, which is not permanent, but subject to change any time Ngige missteps like when he supported Fashola for deporting ndigbo from Lagos. Presently, Ngige seems to have been forgiven by some Anambra electorates which resulted in his high poll result.

PAFFCOMM: What advice would you give to Anambra electorates?

POLITICAL AND POLL ANALYST: My advice to Anambra electorates is to vote wisely

PAFFCOMM: Thank you sir for your time. It is a pleasure talking to you.
