Everyone on accrued rights should follow up on their pfa , they dont usually submit the full required documents causing delays. They are in batch 87. Same thing happened to me also.

Re: How Pension Managers Are Cheating Nigerians by Winter12: 1:33pm On Oct 31, 2020

Good day, excuse me what year did your dad die? I’m trying to sort out something on my side. My father died around August 2017. Do you have an idea what batch he would fall under?

Ermmm, I don't think the year of death really matters. It is when your application reaches PENCOM that determines the batch he'll fall under... And it's your PFA that will determine when your application reaches PENCOM...

Your question has been answered by @Thefarmer3. The year doesn't matter. What matters is the batch your application has been put under.

@AZWealth, I carefully went through ur post and found d contents therein misleading. In a layman's language, the pension scheme has been privatized and retirees can always go to Pencom to to seek advice or redress as the case may be. It is not often the best when your claims are reportive and you are not a direct victim of the said deception. The government adoppted the contributory pension scheme, which started in Chile so as to alleviate the sufferings of her citizens/retirees. All complaints/ enquiries should be directed to Pencom. You can google their website, therein lies all you need to know about the new pension scheme. I humbly reque you stop misleading people on heresies. For your information, Pencom serves to regulate, monitor and melt out punitive measures to any of thw 24 PFA or 4 PFC's who errs...
Your brain need surgical operations, you see and read people's testimonies here yet you are talking trash....i believe strongly that you are one of the pension thieves.
Must the op be directly affected before voicing out?

People like you ought to have vanished from this world long ago.

The whole pension thing is an advanced scam, but must people cant see.

Why force private workers to contribute to a pension scheme?

Let me tell you a before truth, must workers will die of poverty after retirement.

Even when they are paid their pensions monthly, it will be peanuts, because the Naira must have lost great value by then and the pension value will depreciate to nothing.

I n my company their will be no pension funds.

Workers must learn how to invest their money, by them selves.

Typical capitalist society.

Fleece the poor and become rich.

Is it accrued right or death benefits?
We need to always follow both to be sure of what they are doing

death benefits
Re: How Pension Managers Are Cheating Nigerians by livewithpurpose: 8:15am On Nov 25, 2020
I contacted them on Twitter and this is what Pencom said "Contributions Portion of Death Benefits: Up to (Batch 87) has been paid. Accrued Death Benefits: Up to (Batch 83) has been paid. Reason for delays is due to lack of funding from the Federal Government. But PenCom is working assiduously towards getting the Federal Government to release the funds."

Now I'm confused between the two.

Batch 87 that they've paid up to is for accrued rights for government official that started work before 2004 and the other batch 83 is for death benefits.
Hopefully, the should get to batch 90 and 86 respectively before the end of the year

Thanks. Everyone will be happy.

All employees who started work before 2004 are entitled to both accrued benefits and contributions, only that the latter might be paid first

Oh, really?... So does that imply that as you're placed on batch 91, when contributions reach 91 you'll be paid, and you still have to wait for accrued rights to reach 91 too?
