The proposed Niger - Delta Summit

Ibrahim Sule Gambari is the United Nations Under-Secretary and by any standards vis-a-vis his job
very qualified to be at the helm of the Summit
But then there is a dichotomy,
First, How can a Northerner chair over a meeting to solve a problem generated in the South South
Is it not always said that he who wears the shoe know where it pinches the most

Secondly and the most grievious, during the Abacha era, Gambari was quoted as describing Ken Saro Wiwa and his fellow Ogonis
who wear fighting the ND cause and at that time with pen and paper and on the Newspaper pages, as Common Criminal that should be dealt
with as such.

Folks do you think with the two reasons given above that this guy is qualified?

Already, Emeka Anyaoku the former SG of the Commonwealth and Kofi Annang the former SG of the UN are the front runners for this job

He is certainly unfit for the job. he should be replaced by Emeka Anyaoku! It appears Yar'adua does not even know enough people beyond River Niger.

of course in nigeria, his experience and qualification will be dismissed. the most considered quality is his ethnic background.
