Saved2Serve:Iran coming back isn't any good news for Nigeria, infact more Bad news! Maybe soon our oil wells will become antiquities...we didn't do what was needed when we should have, maybe now our future generations may have to pay for our recklessness. It is time for us to think. |

Yes their coming back isn't a goodnews for naija but it is a good news for them. It is on the other side of the divide that I stood to congratulate them. For every 'bad news', it is a good news somewhere. If welike to get sense, its left for us. It is not the bloody concern of the world. whatsupguys: |

Oil price cannot go below 20 $/bbl. That's my take. Because even at just higher than 20 $/bbl, it becomes uneconomical to produce in quite a lot of countries! Twill probably hover just above 25 $/bbl for a while... |

Re: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by cashme28: 2:07pm On Jan 18, 2016 |
coolio2014: I think the price will drop well below $20pb. Infact it might get to $10. Production would stop for a while in many oil producing countries, supply would drastically reduce, demand would increase, and the price would jump back gradually to maybe about $50/60pb. At this point, price would be steady for as long as... In any case, this should not delay NLNG's response to us, I presume. |

How una dey my people? It is utterly heart-rending not to have gotten any info from Nlng. My candid advice to one and all of us is that we should empty our minds concerning them for now. If they did not ask us to resume when oil price was relatively higher, is it now that the price is heading for the hills that they would ask us to resume? Most unlikely. The best I think they would do is inform those that didn't make it of their status and then ask those that made it to hold on. Alternatively, for those that made it, they might call a very minute number of non-technical guys to resume, that is if they have a pressing need for them. For the technical guys, especially the engineers, hmmmm. I envisage an untold period of wait. This is because, these guys must be trained to be able to handle those gas process plants, a training which is usually done in the Uk. And I do not think Nlng is ready to embark on the footing of that expenses, at least for now, considering the deplorable state of things in the oil and gas sector right about now. So my guys, lets chilax. Nothing from Nlng for now. But one thing I am sure they would do pretty soon is that they would inform us of the situation of things from their end. Until then, for me, I am emptying my mind. However, # I still believe Jah's undeserved kindness vantage7: |

On what basis do you predict an oil price of $10. That is absolutely impossible as production will be practically unsustainable at that price in many most oil producing countries. Come to think of it, it'll be better for the oil price to just fall to such ridiculous price per barrel to create a acute short of supply. This will resonate in a rapid raise in price. The price has hover around $28.5 for the past 4 days. With the Iran news, i expect a drop to about $25 in coming week.

At the current oil price, Nigeria can still produce oil and make profit, though at a reduce profit margin than before. This is not true for some country like UK, that why you hear of large amount of job cut in the North Sea than in Nigeria or Angola. 1 Like 1 Share |

Boss, nothing oo. But this Q3/Q4 news is gradually trickling in and guess happenings around us can explain why this is possible. @ItsTime4me has said what I expect NLNG to do. What I feel is that very few people will resume now, and others sometime in that Q3/Q4. It will be totally callous to stay mute and keep everyone waiting till Q3. And as una don advise here tire, na to carry mind comot this matter - easier said than done though. I try really hard not to think of this process, but I have failed woefully at this, and I pray this uncertainty ends soon. Shalom! vantage7: 1 Like |

Saved2Serve:If I was in a position to advice the company I would say they should just take the 80. You know why? They retire people every year, recruit fresh graduates maybe one in seven years. For the purpose of sustainability they need a lot of people considering factors like possible attrition, sack, deaths etc in order to create organisational/generational balance. I assume majority of the people there have almost worked at least a decade of their professional life. They wouldn't just look at the ball from one angle, its a round one with a caveat. |

" Anyone good enough for NLNG will be gainfully busy right now, cmon its been over 2 years since the exercise started. Do you really think someone good enough for this company won't be employed by a small company right now? They can wait a little longer. " I bet this is the privileged thinking behind the lack of communication to us. 4 Likes |

This would be a distorted thought if they really think along this line. This is because the race is not for the swift. Some guys on this stage of the recruitment now may not be gainfully employed and it's not because they are not good (ofcourse everyone that has made it this far can hold his own) but apparently because of some factors beyond their control. I suggest we just allow NLNG be for now. Let them take their time cos we cannot force them to do our wishes. For those of us who are gainfully employed, let's take our jobs seriously. For those of us yet to be gainfully employed, let's try to keep our heads above water, for God is alive. # I still believe in Jah's undeserved kindness dway4ward: 1 Like |

Re: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by Aphrodite4(f): 7:08pm On Jan 19, 2016 |
airsaylongcon: A year before OBJ took office, oil sold for $11.91 tho even at that price, correcting for inflation would make it $17.26 which is still far from the $10 abyss. oversupply is doing its thing on d market and with Iran upping their daily quota by half a million barrels no one can really say the price may not just graze into sub-$17 territory. I guess the real question most want answered is if oil price is solely to blame for nlng's delay and if more external factors in the future (in the event of a Q3/Q4 acceptance) will affect it. eg. will Hilary Clinton becoming POTUS cause more delays?? 2 Likes |
