Since I became aware of the political situation in Nigeria, never has there been a time when the country has seen a good leader.
Ethnicity, corruption, religion and sentiments seem to mar the reputation of every person who ruled this country.
The citizens keep complaining and it seems once you've become a politician (doesn't matter the party) or whether you were a former general or military administrator, your reputation has already been soiled because of the kind of people you associate with in the political system. That is why I don't trust whoever they bring to rule this country whether they had shoes or not or the person was once a military leader with integrity in quote.
The only person who could have tried though I never really trusted him initially was the late Umar Yar'Adua whose tenure we can't say much about(although I may be wrong).
What Nigeria needs is a new crop of young, vibrant, intelligent and educated people as leaders. People with high integrity who will not let ethnicity, religion or sentiments hinder them from bringing good governance and development into every sector of this country.
Given the level of fake promises and disappointments we've all experienced, how do we even recognise such a fellow if they come out to rule this country because personally, I'll never trust those in the old crop no matter who. Who in your opinion fits the description of such a desired Nigerian leader? And how do we recognise them? You can just suggest their names and give your reasons.
