Unless you are in the realm of Chimamanda Adichie I will recommend that you self publish. I use Instantpublisher.com to print my books and I have great success with them. I have also raised funds for my 3rd book via kickstarter at http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1296689049/how-intelligence-kills-the-inappropriate-truth this way I don't spend too much printing and retain 100% of my sales.
