We gave a good account of ourselves against the Italian. The boys really tried except for our sloppy defending. Coach Keshi should try get a better back up for our two full backs, Ambrose and Echiejile. |

That defence is nothing to write home about, they were not coordinated @ all they just gave Italy Cheap goals to score, am disappointed in what Mikel played tonite.Odunamadi must not go to the World cup IK Uche shd replace him, as for the rest Onazi,Moses,Ameobi nice goal all in all they played a good game. |

remember mikel is surrounded by players like pirlo, montolivo poli who are very good midfielders. Onazi was too selfish today which left mikel to do all the work mostly on his own until ogu came on later. i am not excusing him cos i saw that he did not play to his normal standards, but cut him some slack 1 Like |

Mikel had to do extra running to cover more ground due to the inefficiencies of Oduamadi, Azubike and Kwambe who happened to be the main weak link in the team.[/size] 1 Like |

Nigeria just drew with the 4 times world champions 48 hours after playing a crucial world cup qualifier in calabar. Very credible. Mikel was clearly exhausted in the second half. We got a chance to look at some of the fringe players. We need to work on our closing down though. 6 Likes |

The game was alright and the atmosphere was crazy. Both teams played with passion, but the Italians wanted it more. Onazi played like a world class player and Oboabana or whatever is one hell of a defender. And Ameobi will always get you goals and trouble defenders - big, strong, and physical with great technique. However, naija needs maybe two creative midfielders from the under-17 team, that's what this team lacks. Mikel isn't creative enough and the link-up play between the midfield and attack was non-existent, just like most SE games. Hence why the team doesn't score that much. The defence looks suspect as well. We're very lucky we didn't lose and two moments of magic by Shola Ameobi saved naij against the run of play. However, this team looks good. We're almost there - just 30% improvement and we should be alright. Naija fans are cray, yo!! I'm out! Egba_girl - kisses to you, luv.  4 Likes |

PHIPEX: Nigeria's best game in a very long time i agree! end to end entertaining football. we even mainatined midfield possesion for a good amount of time (until pirlo came on and showed us how a REAL midfielder should play.. joking!) our boys all in all was VERY good |

Oduamadi has no place in SE Enyama is the best keeper in the world Onazi is doing well Dike's performance was below average Musa is a very good player but he really needs to improve Our defence is below world cup standard. 2 Likes |
