Sales/Business Development Executive: Builds a market position for Happenings by locating, developing, negotiating, and closing business relationships.
MAIN DUTIES
· Prospect for potential new adverts and turn this into increased business
· Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
· Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities.
· Plan approaches and pitches
· Build relationships with new clients
· Present new ideas and enhance existing relationships
· Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements
· Identify opportunities for campaigns, products and channels that will lead to an increase in ad sales
JOB PURPOSE
The Sales/Business Development Executive is responsible for leading the growth of advert sales and developing new business sales opportunities.
The Sales/Business Development Executive will work alone seeking business opportunities for the Happenings platform with the support of the Editor & Creative Director to maximise all sales opportunities, proactively create new opportunities and achieve sales targets.
A strong focus will be on developing and managing relationships with industry partners and working with them on business growth opportunities beneficial to all parties.
This position will play a key role in the development and implementation of our business development plan and providing input into strategic business growth and improvement decisions.
