Hello everyone.
As the name implies this thread will be for the December 6th FIFA World cup draw, to be held in Bahia, Brazil. So far, 26 countries have booked their place in next year's mundial, which means 6 more places are up for grabs. FIFA will release the final procedures for the draw on December 3. This entails how the nations will be placed in the different pots.

The 32 participating nations are:

South America: Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, Uruguay.

North, Central America & Caribbeans: USA, Mexico, Honduras, Costa Rica.

Europe: Belgium, England, Italy, Netherlands, Bosnia Herzegovina, Germany, France, Switzerland, Croatia, Russia, Portugal, Greece, Spain.

Africa: Nigeria, Ghana, Cote D' Ivoire, Algeria, Cameroon.

Asia: Japan, Korea Republic (South Korea), Iran, Australia.

The World cup will be held in 12 venues in 12 cities. The host cities and venues are as follows:

Arena de Sao Paulo - Sao Paulo (65,807). Will host the opening match on June 12

Arena Amazonia - Manaus (42,374)

Arena da Baixada - Curitiba (41,456)

Arena Fonte Nova - Salvador (48,747)

Arena Pantanal - Cuiaba (42,968)

Arena Pernambuco - Recife (44,248)

Estadio Beira-Rio - Porto Alegre (48,849)

Estadio Castelao - Fortaleza (64,846)

Estadio das Dunas - Natal (42,086)

Estadio Mineirao - Belo Horizonte (62,547)

Estadio Nacional - Brasilia (68,009)

Estadio do Maracana - Rio De Janeiro (76,804). Will host the final match on July 13.

Tv or online. The Mexico game will be on ESPN. I'll watch/get updates on the others online.

Sweden have a far greater chance of causing an upset, than Ukraine. I believe the quality in the "Les Blues" will be too much for the Ukrainians.

Mexico really struggled in the CONCACAF qualifying zone. They couldn't score a goal in 3 consecutive home games at a point. Going thru an intercontinental playoff is a new experience for the "El Tri", and their fans.

They never lost like that. They played out a goal less draw with Sweden, lost 0-2 to England, and also lost by the same scoreline to Paraguay.

May be I've forgotten the actual team, but I could remember a country like Trinidad & Tobago lost like that, but can't remember sha

Fun fact: Nigeria's heaviest loss in a world cup was a 1-4 loss to Denmark at the round of 16 at France 1998 WC.

Nigeria's biggest margin of victory were the 3-0 victories over Bulgaria and Greece at the USA 1994 WC
