i visited nigeria recently i havent been ther in 5 years last time i went i was just 10 years old,
i felt kind of left out when my cousins spoke yoruba and i couldnt understand and im half yoruba
does anyone know any way i could learn yoruba, someone told me to watch yoruba films will that help

My cousins are having the same problem, anyway it is not difficult to learn, just get close to people that speak yoruba as their first language and sooner you will start picking up. cheesy

Always ask questions and meanings and also have a small writing pad

You could learn like me. Have been here on Nairaland observing and trying to copy what other people is saying and use it often. And then if I were to get the pronunciation right, I would say it out loud to people whom speaks the language here. If they are amaze, than you're all good if they laugh, than you should ask them and keep trying no matter what.
