Miley Cyrus has jettisoned her trademark twerking for smoking at the EMAs (the European version of MTV's VMAs)... puffing a fat wrap of 'blunt' on live TV Sunday night

Cyrus performed twice during the show without raising any controversy, but while accepting the award for Best Video she shocked everyone by lighting up her joint.

The awards took place in Amsterdam, where she knew she probably won't get into trouble with the law. Miley took full advantage of that fact, while wearing a onesie and fur coat.

Guess marijuana isn't the only thing the law permits over there.

However, Tmz.com reports that when the EMAs aired in the U.S. ... Miley's joint smoking was edited out.
