How Is Electricity Supply After Final Take Over by gbadexy(m): 8:15am On Nov 12, 2013 |
The power supply in •̸Ϟ•̸y area is terrible, we only have about two hours of electricity supply in a day and yet the still brought inflated bill that include N750 fixed charge and VAT. I pay N5000 monthly now from the average of N2500 monthly and the power supply is even worse. Maybe the privatization process would take some time to be fully functional but I expected a little improved service and not worse from before the hand over. I've been skeptical about this process from the start because nothing stops these companies from offering abysmal service and charge high since we have no other option. I really hope it would get better with time. |

There is no need to panic. We are currently experiencing a shortfall in power supply due to repair works going on at the Afam VI power station. Everything will return to normal when it has been fixed, possibly before the week runs out. 2 Likes |

No difference in my area here in benin city. Isiohor, close to UNIBEN How will they continue to use thesame members of staff and they think there will be change? sack all the officers that head operations and leave the casual workers because they are innocent. sack all the previous ogas @ the top and employ people with your view. Remove the formal bad heads. This is my own opinion o. 2 Likes |

it has been really bad at my area in benin.from 12 to 18hrs of power supply daily,it has dropped to 1hr.very bad.but i doubt it is the effect of privatisation,it is too early to start casting blames on those companies.i think we should give them at least 6months to 1year.phcn,power holding company indeed, they are really 'holding' the power 1 Like |

Awful, we have not had electricity for over a week. Other areas have not had it in over 3 weeks. This is probably a case of "teething-problems". I expect to laugh at these problems in a few years even if tariffs are outrageously expensive. |
