The external WAEC is made for those candidates who sat for the internal WAEC which is known as May/June but unfortunately did not pass all their required subjects. An option of the external WAEC is popularly known as GCE but it seems that a lot of candidates so much prefer to sit for the external WAEC of May/June because a candidate can choose his or her preferred school to write the exam.
