Hi guys!!!
I know I haven't posted for a while as often as I used to but I have a good reason grin

I just bagged myself the hottest most amazing man ever wink

Anyway the problem is that he is in another city and I was wondering if any of you that have been in long distance relationships or have experience with such could give me some useful advice.

I don't want the fire to burn out tongue
Thanks kiss

Congratulations on meeting your new love. About what you are asking for, I will advice that if you two really love each other, there should steady communication between the two of you so that you will not feel the distance. Any of you that is chanced should endeavor to travel the distance to see your love. Another thing is try to build trust in this your new relationship and I assure you the flame of love will never go off. Hope I helped? smiley smiley smiley smiley cool cool cool

I'm in one currently. Its not easy but communication is key. We talk about 20mins every day but the effort is balanced on both sides. Trust is very important and openess. Also don't assume anything but ask questions when neccessary otherwise yu'ld be playing with high bp. Try and vist like at least evry 2 months. It helps. Give a physical gift also (my gf gave me a silver bracelet) every time its used, her thoughts always fills my mind. Ok I'll rest my case here. Wish you luck

they exist wen the persons involved r committed. I evn believe some long distance relationships r better than avn a 'close non-existing' relationship.

This advice is critically needed because I am into one right now. I am in India studying and she is in Nigeria. The love is very strong because I have known and asked her out for more than six years and she is my bestest best friend before she said yes Nov 9. I will be here for 3years and although the communication is good for noe but I fear for the worst. What must be done to keep the flame up? Am glad our parents are aware of the relationship can that hold the it up? Advice seriously needed

Distance has always been a major reason for the collapse of relationships. There have been many testominies to it here on NL, I've had a horrible experience myself so I wouldn't advice anyone to go into one.

Long distance relationships r never real..some lasts a year or more but in reality it isn't the relationship that's lasting..its just that u guys r communicating and seeing no reason to quarrel. I really wonder why people say I've not seen my bf for 3yrs and u still see him as ur bf..abeg lets be realistic

Long distatnce relationship is real and promising , just that there are some major things that is needed to do to keep it in form

* discuss on how long this will be before you will finally be together and where you are to settle down, when there is a known time frame then endurance will be at check

* if you live within a country, plan on your visitation packaging with suprises, it maybe every two weeks, monthly and make sure you are together witnin 3 months at most

* never make a wrong conclusion because he/she called in a noisy environment or you heard a voice under, build a trust

* media/internet is one of the strong way to keep a relationship in form, make use of it, its engaging and loving to use your partner as your profile and display pictures and vice versa.

* try to talk every morning and night, you can pray together and have time for gisting even gossiping make a distance relationship a sweet one ( eg, I can't wait to meet your noisy neighbour )

* call others family often just for greeting and that will make them also support their child waiting for her partner

Lastly be sincere with one another .
