So the question becomes, when these little gadgets misbehave, what do we do? Search out the nearest trashcan? Or try and save ourselves the hassle of trying to lie our way into warranty protection, or the expense of just buying a new phone.

A friend of mine has repaired his phone several times...he even rode is bike over the thing, but somehow brought it back to life

Confused if to repair or replace your phone , have a good read of these content and decide for yourself.

Should you repair or replace your cell phone?

The law of averages says: the more you use your cell phone, the more likely you are to break it.

In other words... Most of us are at a high risk.

Then the question becomes... Should you replace it, or have it repaired.

If you're like most people, your cell phone is within reach at all times. But with all that usage, your phone could get damaged. When should you repair or replace your cell phone?

Cracked screens are among the most common types of damage seen at cell phone repair shops... Right up there with dead or dying batteries... Both of which can generally be fixed for a fraction of the cost of a new phone. Then there's water damage...

Repair typically costs a fraction of what you would pay to replace your smartphone. A new phone can run about ₦10,000 depending on brand and quality .A common repair like a cracked screen can often be fixed for less than ₦5,000 depending on brand. But sometimes, fixing isn't cost effective.

Of course the best thing you can do to avoid the expense of repair or replacement... Is to protect your phone in the first place with a high quality case …

In addition to having a good case and keeping your phone away from water... You should also avoid heat. Keep your phone out of the sun and away from sources of high heat like your stove, toaster and fireplace.

Before you make your final decision... Be sure to check the warranty on your phone to find out which repairs, if any, are covered.
