Anambra State Inconclusive Election, We Saw It Coming by OrlandoOwoh(m): 8:12pm On Nov 21, 2013
When in May Godswill Akpabio of Akwa-Ibom State spoke against the emergence of Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State as the chairman of the Nigerian Governors' Forum in an election he won by 19 to 16 votes, Nigerians wondered how 35 governors could not conduct a peaceful election among themselves. Many wondered if these governors that could not be peaceful in their small number could conduct elections in their respective states.
As if we knew what would happen, six months later on November 16th, one of the governors, Peter Obi of Anambra State presided over in his state in a type of election that is not known in Nigeria, that has added a new word, inconclusiveness, in our electoral lexicon.
Five days after the election no winner is declared, owing to the irregularities recorded in the election. Eligible voters were disenfranchised. The conduct of election was deliberately delared or not held in the strongholds of some candidates. Hate comments were made.

Governor Peter Obi who happened to be a leading voice among the governors led by Godswill Akpabio, with the support of the President (though often denied), has always rubbished the Nigerian Governors' Forum election, claiming that Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau State who got 16 votes actually won it. Nigerians have since then wondered if 16 is greater than 19.
WE SAW IT COMING.

It is Anambra State election today, next, owing to our staggered election, it will be the turn of Osun State in 2014. INEC should prove if is has not been infested with that which WE SAW COMING.
