Have you ever wondered why the sea never dries up? That can only be because it receives water from various sources; from the rivers, the streams, rainfall and a lot other sources.

However, some liquid bodies like the lake or pond do dry up when the raining season stops and you would be amazed that once the rains starts, such liquid bodies get filled again and might even overflow their banks.

A wise man knows that he cannot rely on one stream of income lest he is reduced to a pitiable hurl of shame and despair if anything happens to that one source of income.

There are levels of income; some persons work once and get paid once, to get another payment they have to work once again eg, a contractor or a paid a job. Others work very hard to get a property which later brings steady income for a long time with no further effort on the side of the proprietor, eg, real estate. Owning an Intellectual Property, IP has proved to even be a bigger business than real estate. Everyone knows the story of Bill Gates, it all started from his mind.

The funny thing is that all of these wealthy men do not rely on one stream of income, I was shocked when I found out 4-years ago that Sony; a leading electronics company in the world also has a finical institution.
