Nigeria is a multi ethnic state. Opinions are divided among scholars about the actual number of ethnic groups of the nigerian ethnic group in the nigerian state. It is believed that the country has over 250 ethnic groups.

The larger and politically dominant groups include the Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa/Fulani. Apart from these major ethnic groups are:
Ijaw, Edo, Urhobo, Igala, Nupe, Ebira, Kanuri, Idoma, Ibibio, Efik,Junkun, and others.
It is necessary to observe the three major ethnic group.

THE YORUBA.

Yoruba people occupy the South Western region of Nigeria. They reside in Ekiti,Lagos,Ondo,Osun,Oyo and part of Edo State.

There is language homogeneity, and, apart from this, the people share common traditions and trace their descent from a common ancestor called Oduduwa. They are divided into different subgroups such as the Ekiti,Oyo,Ibadan,Ijebu,Egba,Akoko, etc which are powerful autonomous units.
The Yoruba's has produced the largest number of educated and highly trained people in the country. They also stand out as deeply religious people. Most Yoruba are farmers, planting such crops like Yam,cocoyam, cocoa, cassava maize, etc.

THE IGBOS

The Igbo occupies the eastern part of the country. The people are in such states as Abia,Imo,Enugu,Anambra and Ebonyi. Like the Yoruba, most Igbo are farmers, but some are intinerant businessmen selling their wares all over nigeria. The Igbos like trading.

THE HAUSA/FULANI

The Hausa/ Fulani group is dominant in the north-western part of Nigeia. The people are concentrated in Sokoto,Kastina,Kano,Jigawa,Zamfara,Kebbi and Kaduna states. Hausas like farming, cultivating crops like corn, millet, beans, onions. The fulani's are mainly cattle rearers.

Can we stop with the Naivety...it shows a lack of being educated.

Hausa and Fulani are not one group.

There is no reason to put Hausa/Fulani they are not the same.
