Lady Gaga is known for her grand entrances. From face nests to eggs, Mother Monster has always managed to be the show stopper on the red carpet. The 2013 American Music Awards red carpet was no exception.

Playing off the disco-vibe of her new album ARTPOP, Gaga arrived to the AMA red carpet on a white, human horse. Gaga called her entrance a nod to the ol’ Studio 54 days, where Bianca Jagger famously arrived to the infamous New York City club on a white horse in 1977 for her birthday.

Gaga’s horse was human, made up of several people who were inside the Trojan Horse-looking thing.
