Is Nigeria Taking The Right Step Towards Achieving Vision 2020? by Kriskento(m): 3:33am On Jul 24, 2008 |
Is Nigeria taking the right step towards achieving VISION 2020? i truly don't understand what president Yar'dua is doing, he hasn't really taken any bold step towards achieving his 7 point agenda. with the country faced with more problems than ever before, i wonder where we are heading to, from militancy in the Niger delta, to teachers strike, power failure to high inflation rate, intense hardship, child abuse, deteriorated health sector, increased crime rate{kidnapping every where now, even in Lagos}. He has not done anything to make us believe in him a all, just having a quiet time in office. different probe going on without any positive result. have he wants to use military option for the Niger delta. Is he really the kind a president we need at this critical moment? |

We are not taking the right steps. Our President is a confused man and without any vision or sight to see the future. Lets tell ourselves the truth, Obasanjo was bad, but at least took us few steps forward, but right now, we are stangnant and not progressing at all after about 14 months of yarádua govt. |

Maybe if we are talking realistically VISION 2050 more like. Yar A'dull is a clueless President. He is not a leader like many before him. Even in the midst of all the problems and the corruption he should have at least pick an issue as a flagship so that we can work out his intentions. The people behind him are simply waiting for 4 years to be used up and campaign for re- election for another 4 years and maybe even 3rd time like they did with OBJ. God help us. |

vigasimple: Since when did Nigeria have good leaders as presidents that lead you to state that line in bold? Please let us stop comparing kwashiokor with leprosy, bad is bad. |

Sky Blue: maybe I should rephrase my statement - what I am saying is that yar A'dull is not a leader as the previous people before him are not leader as well. he may even be better than some of his predecessors in some respect. I hope that is clarified. |
