The driver of the tanker must have woken up like any other day, hoping to do his work as usual little did he know the liquid he would be carrying that evening would end up claiming lives of innocent people. Towards the evening hours of tuesday, the tanker filled with diesel encountered a pot hole at iwofe causing it to fall on it's side and the contents of the tanker spilled over down the streeet. People started running helter skelter probably remembering the unfortunate fuel blast at okugbe...The spilling diesel caught up with the fire of a woman frying yam et al down the street and the rest was the sad news. The fire came back along the line of the spill back to the tanker itself and that was when the big explosion happened. At least four cars were fried along with people inside, a man at his home was also burnt, amongst other casualties...the fire was finally put out by the state's fire service....what an unexpected tragedy.
