The Body Mass Index (BMI) is a good measure of overweight and tells if you are obese. It is calculated from your weight and height and gives a good estimate of your body fat. The higher your BMI, the greater likelihood of occurrence of certain diseases such as gallstones, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes and certain cancers.
