A Pantheist/ignostic's Opinion On God After His Last Visit To Church. by ezme(m): 6:36am On Dec 06, 2013
"Living is filled with many uncertainties. With twists. Things go right now. And wrong the next minute. Plus humans are inherently terrible to one another. Most of the time, to serve a selfish end.

I think about it. We all need a 'God'. The 'God' concept is more than religious. In fact, it has nothing to do with religion. In my mind, religion merely hijacked and corrupted the idea.

I was in church today for the first time this year. I honoured an invitation. I could understand the energy. God is meant to give us hope. A reason to carry on. Otherwise, life will be hell-er for most people.

If you think you don't need a 'God', perhaps you are smart enough to figure out everything. Its totally fine but don't push it on everyone. Life is too crazy for most people and they need a 'God' to hold on to. They need a 'God' for justice. 'God' is hope to most people. Please don't take that away from people.

More likely than not, bible stories are fables. And inconsistent with science and history. Yes, I agree. But how do you want people to reconcile most of everything?! Forget your logic and pursue what matters. Pursue goodness. Lend a hand. There is too little time to try to hack the existence of 'God'. 'God' represents many things to people. It will be unfair to take that away. Visit a church and listen to testimonies, then you will relate.

And more importantly, if you are a church/mosque leader. Don't take advantage of people who come to you for hope. It is the most cruel thing ever. A woman today made a testimony of almost losing a child. She was probably poor.

My concept of 'God' has nothing to do with an age-long myth. It has nothing to do with expecting a miracle without work. Or stupidly enriching some pastors. Far from it. But I totally understand anyone who is involved in any of these. 'God' is perhaps, the only force that can only hold man together. It is the best invention ever. Religion only made a mess of it.

Happy sunday and have a great week ahead. Plus God bless you abundantly. And if you can, please be good to the next guy for no reason. You might be what he needs to carry on. It is always easier and cheaper than evil."

What do u truly believe bro?

@op, there is more to life than all the goodness of ur article, there is a God and Jesus is the only way to Him.

Jesus is the answer for the world today, above Him there is no other Jesus is the way!

If you must talk about a God, then you should be able to define who he is and the extent of his reach.

Is this the only ill he noticed with rampant religiousity?

If he thinks we bother with religitards just because, then he may be confused. For instance, I could care less if one worships a broom at home. My issue is they should keep there, something they clearly can't do. And note, 'religitard'. Not every religious person is one of those, just as not every black man is a ni.gger (not every ni.gger is black as well, but we do seem to have a lot of ni.ggers).

In other words, you are saying that god without the bullshyt is like food without salt?
Do you realize that it is the bullshyts of that render religion an easy avenue for fraud and exploitations?

Why can't we as human, lead good lives and emphasize a lot more goodness in stead of god-ness?

You see the problem, once you introduce Jesus, as you just did, the other fellow introduces Muhammad, etc, and for you know it, all goodness is abandoned just to show the supremacy of one saviour over another.

How important is goodness to god?
And how important is belief to god?

I am beginning to see very understanding folks here. This is just what I feel.
Religion is useful, as far as it brings no harm, but it should be kept PERSONAL.
