That is exactly what his(Leonardo) fans are doing, they are painting a picture to make him look like the "victim", d one whose privileges were denied. The result is that more pressure will be built on the folks that give these awards whether by voting or selection, so that they may be forced to give the award to d person(s) who d vast majority of fans have labelled "the victim". And this is not healthy for the movie industry as they will start giving awards to persons out of "sympathy" instead of "Talent, skill and ability". The Revenant is cool though, just dat fans shouldn't do what 9ja politicians would label as "overheating the polity".

The movie is not hyped imo. It deserves all the buzz it/'s getting.

You have to understand that the movie was based on a real event not some fictional stuff.. So Leonardo's performance was excellent and Oscar worthy no doubt...

The guy courts controversy as Cheetahs love to hunt Gazelles. He tackles sensitive issues with such blazen recklessness that can only be described as genius. He's a master of satire - his 6 movies out of 8 have hidden messages in them. He's one of the bravest and craziest movie directors out there, possibly the craziest.

Hateful Eight average?? Well, I think it's one of his better works yet - quite on par with D'jango Unchained.

The hidden messages is more like a middle finger to the US government, the corruption and ethnic bias prevelent in their society, the political correctness of being afraid to call a spade a spade.

I think you left out the most prominent message: Racism in the law enforcement section (as in other parts) of the country.
