Before we even get into different genres, he doesn't even play the same characters or act the same way in comedies. He's not just another version of Drax in every comedy role. Even his comedy acting alone has range.

Exactly, people think comedy is an easy genre, the fact is comedy is way more difficult than horror, look at Tropic Thunder and Parasite, it is easier for comedies to look so cringe but the actors and writers are the main source of its brilliance esp when most comedies are actually improv!

You had the wrong expections If you came in expecting an Oscar contender..
Not every movie needs to be.

This is a movie you sit back, enjoy the thrills and action without thinking about plot.
Judging by the ratings and box office, I'm glad many had fun with it

I strongly believe Joker doesn't need a sequel

But damn I'll be lying if I said these test screening reports doesn't fill me with hype and optimism.

I think they've screwed up Joker's legacy.

Joker is mind destroying and emotional pain or more like emotional horror movie. Best said.. A sad movie..

Joker 1 represented that perfectly!

I don't see joker 2 doing that... Unless the story continued from where 1 stopped .. That the bloody and chaotic can be justified

the movie is nowhere near 8/10. If you rate this 8/10 then what will you rate like you said Oscar worthy movies. Walai this beekeeper movie almost made no sense. 1 man fought his way to the number citizen of a nation. Haba!

It was a theatrical release for Christ sake and not some low budget dumb VOD release, so i wouldn't be in the wrong, if I'm demanding it to be good at least.

I didn't go in looking for an Oscar worthy flick, but this flick had Minnie Driver, Jeremy Iron ans Jason Statham... That's almost an A-list cast!, So the least they could have done was to give them, a believable and rational plot to work with.

How many of your precious time are you gonna waste on flicks that depends solely on action with miserable plots? cuz to me personally, i have had my fill. Plus this mentality of "disregarding plot and just enjoy the action" is why subpar flicks keep flooding in each year. In film making, plot is like the bane of the whole thing, so one simply can't disregard it

Superb film with great suspense and no watery plot, I just liked the way they mostly followed the source material from the book. Had to rewatch dune part 1 not to get lost in this sequel. Warner bros's gamble to move the movie to march seems to have paid off. I just hope Deadpool 3, joker 2 or kung fu panda gives me something close to this level of excitement and stunning visuals.

He still unknown compared to Henry Cavill and Idris Elba many people were clamoring to get the role. Checked his film credits, he has mostly played supporting roles outside of kickass.
