The All Progressives Congress has commended the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Aminu Tambuwal, for his patriotism and dedication to the nation, following his “principled stand” on the President Goodluck Jonathan administration’s “tepid fight” against corruption.
In a statement in Lagos on Tuesday by its Interim National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said the Speaker “exhibited a leadership trait that is rare in these parts” by shunning partisanship to say that the President’s body language did not indicate that he had the political will to fight corruption in the country.
Tambuwal, while speaking at a forum marking the World Anti-Corruption Day in Abuja on Monday, faulted the Jonathan ‘s approach to the anti-graft war while carpeting the anti-corruption agencies of not only being corrupt but looking the other way while indicted fraudsters walk about as free men.
In commending the House of Representatives Speaker, APC said, ”Hon. Tambuwal and President Jonathan belong to the same political party, but this did not deter the Speaker from rising above crass partisanship when the issue involved borders on national interest. This is the stuff of good leadership.
”Hon. Tambuwal has shown that he is indeed the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives and that the entire country is his constituency, unlike President Jonathan who has transformed himself to a PDP and a sectional leader by viewing serious issues of national importance from the prism of partisanship and sectionalism.”
The party expressed the hope that other Nigerians would emulate Tambuwal.

mallam tabuwal no matter how you can criticise thief jonathan we will not allow you to be our flag bearer under the apc I can tell you that we have learned our mistake are you not alive in january 1 2012 when thief Jonathan administration make life unbearable to Nigeria's here now you come talk rubish buhari is the man

I hope all these people know the implications of their utterances and plans to force out Jonathan. This issue I am afraid has gone beyond mere principles and ideas to serious issue of national survival. By the time the rest of the country feels the impact of loss of revenues they will know that we have not advanced to the realm of idealism.

Pls let Jonathan complete his two terms for peace to reign- already the country has reached her nadir.

A well written script by APC. Tambuwal has always been an a APC party member in the uniform of PDP.

Tambuwal was a principal actor in the last dispensation when dimeji bankole was the speaker. It is no longer news that bankole embezzled more than 10billion naira after he lost his bid to get re-elected to the house of assembly. As a principal actor and major stakeholder when bankole held sway, tambuwal is definitely complicit in this graft case.

I will let the cases of elumelu and farouk lawan slide because they are still fresh in our memory.

What nigeria citizens dont know is that politics is war in this country, and in a war, every tactics is deployed and justfied to win the war. Nigerian politics is nothing but the adoption of the principles of machiavelli.

Why APC and their allies like tambuwal use propaganda like this well written script being played out, PDP wait For them in the field of play like being evidenced in the last anambra gubernatorial election. Who says PDP dont have the resources both financially and otherwise to match APC's propaganda tactics? PDP have wholely adopted the machiavelli principle of "the end justifies the means".

APC and PDP are thieves. They are not fighting for the nigerian citizens, but for their self-interest. The problem is not who is the bigger thief because if APC gets that federal government coffers? Ask lagosians what emperor tinubu is doing there. Hmmmmmmm! The real problem is the docility and gullibilty of we the nigeria citizens.

If really this administration wanna start fighting corruption Tinubu should be 1st to start with and some high profile APC.
