Obasanjo’s Letter: Atiku, Urges IBB, Abdulasalami, Danjuma, To Intervene by yaxeji: 7:15am On Dec 13, 2013 |
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar Thursday urged those copied by former President Olusegun Obasanjo in his letter to President Goodluck Jonathan to intervene. He said although he was not competent to speak on Obasanjo’s letter because he was not privy to the communication, he however insisted that it was expedient for leaders consulted by the former President before the publication of the letter to intervene and reduce the tension created by former President Obasanjo’s weighty allegations. Reduce the tension ke? Why is Atiku fidgety? Jonathan has had this letter since the 2nd. How has he responded inbetween? Has he himself seen fit to deescalate the issue? |

I can't stop laughing and crying at the same time. Obj and Atiku of all persons are now urging IBB, Abdulsalam and Danjuma to intervene on Jona's leadership. Does it mean Abacha would have been urged to intervene if he was still alive? These guys are either afraid of the plans to bundle them into prison should Jona wins or are just afraid of being schemed out of the oil re-licensing due in 2016. Which ever one it is, I can bet anything that these guys mean no good for the Nigerian masses. They have proved it before and would do it again. As much as I think Jona can be dull and blind to corrupt officials at times, I very well know he's holding back from prosecuting some corruption cases for fear of other regions tagging him a "Victimizer" which will affect his chances in 2015. The set of people I expect to be writing the kind of obj's letter are not doing so. Why? Nigeria is finished! |

He is simply asking them for a coup, but he doesn't realise that nigerian army is presently out numbered and out gunned, a coup will be too much for nigeria to handle as there are more arms in the hands of private citizens in the north and the south and there are herdsmen who have military uniform, the oil installations are also in dire shape and the military is headed by an eastern who will never betray Jonathan 1 Like |

obasanjo was a good teacher and Jonathan was also a good student. *Just wandering* when a student becomes more skillful in his master's craft... 1 Like |

Honestly Atiku should not be seen taking part in any conversation involving corruption allegations. If he insists then let him travel to USA and return, if he is not arrested then he can talk! |

The alliance existed before but Nigerians demanded for its immediate dissolution because it was unprofitable - didn't put smiles on their faces. Interestingly the alliance labelled itself as threat to peace and development. Now people are giving out Call for it to surface once again. What could have been the trick? |
