My battery was exhausted only to get one from a friend to start the car and replaced my battery while the car is still on. Now the power steering has remained in amber color. Please your tips go a lot. Many thanks in advance. |

Let's be clear about this - Your battery was dead, so you removed your battery, replaced it with your friend's good battery, started the car, then while the engine was running, you removed your friend's good battery, and refitted yours that needed recharging. Is this correct? |

awesoft: Yes... Absolutely right. Why would you do that? That's the quickest way to fry control modules. Running an engine without a battery connected (alternator charging into a void) is as bad as running an engine with missing earth straps. I would advice you get your EPS scanned for trouble codes. |
