And if there is an emergency just as d op asked..am sure u must have seen group of men in uniform cordinating the road blocks and the congregations, so if there is an emergency, those people in uniform would surely create a quick passage way for the ambulance

I wish they only block the roads and create an alternative passage for the time being...but they pray on top of the roads and it isn't as if the Mosque has been totally occupied....and if you see the angry expression on their faces.....you will know that they are ready to pounce on any Arna or Kafir that dares their action....we had to wait for the prayers to be over b4 we could continue our journey....it was really frustrating

Even if all the religions in Nigeria are praying at the same time, they shouldn't impose their will on other people becoz there are those who don't share any of those beliefs....
I see no sense in anybody blocking a road to observe religious rite by frustrating others just becoz you have the upper hand there....

Now to the point i usually am always annoyed when i see the kind of traffic caused by the mosque i attend. The area has only that 1 road leading out and they block it for aboutr an hour. Infact i even get more annoyed when i here some boys saying 'when christians put road blocks on sundays no one complain, its islam they want to rubbish' (even though they know its a Muslim like them complaining), As if its now part of Islam to stop others from their activities because we want to pray, its simply selfish and makes it seem like Muslims feel they are more important then others.

But then again this is Nigeria we live in huh.. Its not just with religion its with everything actually. Just look at that Stellah oduah case for example when one tribe defend its own by saying ''why didnt you complain of your own peoples doing'' and such crap.

In fact, Muslims only block roads for less than two(2) hours, while christians block it from morning 6am to 12pm (7hours) yet you didn't thought of that? The issue is not the level of disturbance between the noise from loud speaker and roadblock. I lived under the nuisance of loud speakers from a Islamic Mosques in Lagos without a remorse because it cost me only early morning sound sleep. However, when roads are block for whatever reason, it brings various untold hardships to many folks including lost of wages.

Be it church or mosque its selfish to block roads. I was brought up with Muslims and Christians I have never seen them blocking the roads am talking here about Amsterdam. U dare not block the roads u will get the offense u committed in with mail and ur car willl be gone by the time your back. So spare me ur jumat or whatever. Trust me all the ppl trying to justify what's wrong,they dnt behave like that in the west. What's wrong is wrong period, they only do this in Nigeria. In my opinion they should sanction the mosque or church see if this bad behavior won't change.
